Dr Ashish G Alurwar (m)

GP Partner

MBBS, MRCGP, DA, MRCA, DFSRH, PGCert Cl Ed

Dr Alurwar qualified in 2000 and spent the formative postgraduate period as an Anaesthetic & Intensive Care trainee in Leicester and Shrewsbury rotations before completing General Practice training in the Mersey region. Dr Alurwar enjoys the wide and varied work in General Practice and has particular interests in Pain management, Respiratory, Musculoskeletal Conditions and Men’s health.

Dr Alurwar is the clinical manager & lead partner for Information Governance.Dr Alurwar is an Educational Supervisor for GP trainees, further to having completed accredited training offered by Nottingham Trent University.

Dr Laura Appleby (f)

GP Partner

BM BS, MRCGP, PGCert Cl Ed

Dr Appleby qualified from the University of Nottingham in 2012 and spent her postgraduate period working in the Nottingham City and QMC hospitals doing rotations in General Surgery, Stroke Medicine, Respiratory Medicine, Paediatrics and A&E. Originally from Birmingham, Dr Appleby returned to Birmingham and completed her General Practice training. During this time she worked in Obstertrics and Gynaecology. Having missed Nottingham, in August 2017 Dr Appleby returned to Nottingham and is now a GP Partner at Highcroft Surgery.

Dr Appleby is the GP Tutor for medical students from University of Nottingham Medical School and Clinical Supervisor for GP trainee doctors.

Dr Jessica Halliley (f)

MBCHB(Hons), MRCGP, DRCOG, PGDIPAES

Dr Halliley graduated with honours from Sheffield University in 2014. She worked in numerous specialties including General Surgery, Stroke Medicine, Gynaecology and Palliative Care, before specialising as a GP. She also has a postgraduate diploma in Women’s Health.

Dr Lekshmanan Sivakumar (m)

GPwSI ( Minor surgery & Vasectomy )

Dr Sivakumar qualified as a GP in 2008. He obtained his primary degree from India and his post-graduation in surgery and general practice degrees in the United Kingdom. Dr Sivakumar performs minor surgeries and vasectomies alongside working in General Practice. He is also a trainer in minor surgery and joint injections. Dr Sivakumar has specialist interests in minor surgery, joint injections, vasectomies and contraception/implants.

Dr Nasheeha Nasrudeen (f)

Originally from Sri Lanka, Dr Nasrudeen completed her medical training in South London in 2013. After working in different parts of the country including Scotland, Dr Nasrudeen settled down in Nottingham where she completed her GP training in 2022. She has a special interest in Cardiovascular Medicine, Mental Health and Gynaecology.

Nurse Julieann Gray (f)

Julieann Gray is an Advanced Nurse Practitioner and a full time Partner at Highcroft Surgery. 

Julieann Gray is the clinical manager and lead Partner for care homes, elderly, frail & palliative patients management. She also leads the practice QoF & GPEDS programme.

A highly experienced Nurse spanning 19 years in various acute Hospital specialities and General Practice. Julieann Gray has developed a specialist role in the Care of Elderly, managing Advanced Complex Multi-Morbidities and Palliative Care. She has specific interest in Heart Failure, Chronic Lung Conditions and Dementia. Julieann Gray is the Lead Nurse for Palliative Care as well as the Lead Nurse for Care Homes and is highly passionate about improving care in these areas. Julieann Gray is an active member of the CCG and her influence has driven improvements for care of elderly patients’ in the Arnold locality.

Nurse Karen is our Baby Immunisation and Cervical Smear Lead

An Advanced Nurse Practitioner, (ANP), is a very highly trained Prescribing Nurse who is able to see and treat a wide range of medical problems. Advanced Nurse Practitioners work alongside Doctors and can refer patients’ to hospital or for further tests as needed. The Practice Nurses see patients’ with minor injuries, minor illnesses, run child vaccination clinics; provide cervical smears, travel vaccinations, contraceptive injections and offer reviews for patients’ with long term conditions such as asthma and diabetes, as well as a number of other services.
